Yea... whut ever j00 say

-18"-19" rhyms
-silly rear spoilers
-silly wiper placement
-stickers all over the car

Looks a lot like rice to me.

Even the Honda cars have the wiper effect.

The the BTCC (British Touring Car Challenge) series. If the rumors are correct, the series will NOT run next year. The manufacturers pulled support because there is so much contact in the races that they couldn't make a profit. I think the Australian series will continue though....

I know the rice comments are just tongue-in-cheek, but would like to point out the most important differentiation between rice and race is when the wings and tow hooks are functional, the decals are making a lot of money to support the car, the engine is mounted 180 degrees backwards, rearwards, and lower, the transmission is a 6 speed sequential, and it eats Dodge Vipers for breakfast, it sure isn't rice.

According to this article, http://www.autosport.com/newsitem.cfm?id=16847&series=6, BTCC is alive and well with Honda sponsoring 2 CTRs.

Let's hope there is room in the SpeedVision, er Speed Chanel, lineup between all the nA$$car shows to air some races.

Well, I wouldn't mind moving away from Sweden right now (where the picture is taken). It's around 32F outside and it will soon be time to put on the snowtires... Damn I miss the summer!

I prefer UTCC, Ukranian Touring Car Championship. I actually built my car to their unique specs, such as destroking my B18c to 1.7 liter, acid dipping suspension and other structural components for weight reduction, etc.

Scott Rinde (RR98ITR on this board) has won the UTCC series for the last 2 years. His nickname is "Lil Pierre". It's quite an exciting series.

4doorH22: "...the engine is mounted 180 degrees backwards, rearwards, and lower, the transmission is a 6 speed sequential, and it eats Dodge Vipers for breakfast, it sure isn't rice."

You forgot the 6 pot, 14" brakes!

Now, are you sure about the eating Vipers thing? I remember seeing the Dodge Stratus with all those goodies only hitting 13.7 in Car and Driver. Vipers are hitting quarters in 12.2 secs. and 0-60 in 4.4 secs.

Big wheels with big 14 inch brakes behind them.
Slammed but with just the right amount of suspension travel.
Aerodynamics that also serve as eye candy.
High revving low displacement engines.
Sequential 6 speeds.
Slamming paint jobs.

I love Touring Cars!
