p28 surges at idle after reseting ecu ??

p28 surges at idle after reseting ecu ??
the car was running fine before, took out the ecu to make a switch on J1 (all other parts were prevoiusly installed already) for uberdata. plugged ecu back in, let it idle for 5 mins with no heat or stereo, shut her off.
idled fine for the first day then idle started to surge from 1000-1250rpm
should i wait it out and let the ecu calibrate itself or reset the ecu agian ??
