Is there any difference between the patterns on the Type r and the Type S intake manifold flanges? Can they be swapped?

 

I would say no, since Hondata makes a reflash for those with the ITR IM....also the ITR manifold flows better on the A2 with the Toda cams.

 

the reason I ask is because I want to fab up a set of ITB's for the K series. I am getting a K20A imported but If I can I would like to just pick up an intake manifold off a type S and chop the flange off for my project. So all I really need to know is if the ports match up on the Flanges?

If I were swapping them then yes, But I do not know if the ports would line up the same, (exactly the same) I would hope so since you can install the ITR IM on a type-S....
