I have a good hook up buying new BFG drag radials so I'm thinking about using them as my everyday tire - accept for long trips to the beach/cottage/track. (put them on at the track)
I know they are one season tires but my main concern is the amout of heat-cycles these tires will encounter driving on them everyday - especially after some friday night test and tues and sat. night one on ones on the backroads.
after using these tires every day will I notice serious decreases in 60fts by the end of the season? Any other comments on BFG's for daily street use?
TIA

Paul, talk to Mark from torontostreetracing.com or allmotorhonda.com He runs them on his DA teg everyday, and swears by them.

When I had them, I loved them. I think it's a great tire. My only concern was being a one season tire. Just be careful in the rain.

the way i see it is.. if your going to only use them at the track then just buy slicks. Also, i don't know of any really sticky tires that last long.. 8/
thanks for the replys guys, are the guys running them everyday still hitting good 60's at the track? like 1.9's?

Watch out for road debris as well. I punctured mine with a little screw and would constantly be picking glass and pebbles out of them, the rubber is so soft
I run on my bfg's everyday and so far they have held up. I want to see how long the tires are going to last because they are pretty soft .
i used mine for about 3 weeks on and off. they will not last long if I use them EVERYDAY becuz i can't help but to beat on my car on a daily basis. spining third gear on the highway is addicting, just ask anyone with a Turbo car.
if you use them daily, race during the weekend or occasionally and you can control yourself, then they will last long.
i personally bought them so i can take highway pulls since (1/4mile) Street Racing is on *LOCK* in Ny.
btw, mine are for sale. check sig.
