I'll be taking some time off from work to check out the West Coast. I'm already planning on going on a tour of Alcatraz. Just need to know what are some shops that i need to see in person? also where can i catch some late night action?

There's tons to do in SF if its your first time:

Golden Gate Bridge (of course)
Treasure Island (at night)
Cable Cars
Fisherman's warf
Chinatown
Japan Town (if you like ricey car stuff)
Height
Castro (if you wanna pick up guys )
Coit Tower
Lombard Street
Sausalito (Margaritaville!!)
Mission St. (Mexican food!! )
Ocean Beach (surfing in icey water)
Alcatratz (boring)
Ghiradelli Sq (chocolates)

For good food, go to:
Chinatown (the small little holes in the walls are the best)
Geary and 6th ave. (Brother's restaurant -best Korean BBQ EVAR!)
Clement (its very local though)

Entertainment:
Sony place on (Market st?? Mission street??)
San Francisco Shopping center (Market and 5th street)
Golden Gate Park


I use to be a tour guide there and I lived in SF for 5 years...its one of the best tourist spots in the world in my opinion. There's something for everyone there!

late night action: o farrell theatre...

 

if you mean late night action as in racing its right my house in san jose not really worth all the trouble going there i guess. On captiol exp. 101 exit on the 2nd loop from sf. takes about 40 min from sf to here..unless anybody else knows where they race i'd just be careful nowadays...too much trouble after f&f also i tihnk the montague 500 is still around? well thats in milpitas which is 10 min or so from 101 to 680(sacramento way) and exit montague 2nd exit and go straight and should see some ricers. Dont konw if they race in oakland anymore....Maybe some private runs but i have to ask if they still have them...i tihnk thats all later

 

lols ok ok that's cool too but i'll be driving a rental car. Anyone know of some night clubs or bars to hit while i'm in town?

no one's been racing here in oakland anymore, mostly PR and thats usually in the spur of the moment.

dont forget to go to pier 39 to get some CHOWDA!
