How do I get170 - 180hp out of my Teg LS NA?
Ok here's what I got, 94 Teg LS, basic bolt-ons, intake and full exhaust (2 1/4 traight pipe to a max speed muffler). I'm thinkin crower 403, 404, or 405a's, full port and polish job, AEM cam gears, FPR, Apexi SAFC and underdrive pulleys. It needs to be streetable. Also what type of header should I run, 4-2-1, or 4-1? What makes one better than the other and vice versa. Any help on any of my ?'s would be appreciated.

Hmm 180 whp compared to 120 (sorry if this is wrong don't know stock ls whp). 180 > 120, hmm oh no thats right I forgot in this world everything is backwards so 180 must be less than 120.
Of course it's going to make his car faster and sure there are cars out there that make 200hp but that's at the crank/flywheel and for the most part are more expensive.

^^^^(beat me to it)200+ stock? Yes, to the fly wheel. You gotta remember HP is nothing if the car is a boat. 180whp will feel hella different on a Teg because the weight difference is huge to alot of other cars, weighing in about 2500lbs and with some weight reduction to about 2400lbs, you'll fly.
Weight + HP = Speed

Do some research on what works. There are a lot of LS's with 180+ HP N/A. StyleTeg being one of the most recent and successful
. His setup includes the 404's, but he has researched and made his package work together. (Choosing the right exhaust for the right powerband matched up to his tranny, etc.) Many people claim FI is easier to reach that HP/ LSVTEC will work- but it's all in what you want. Remember, do it right the first time will save you time and money not doing it a second time

Edit: Headers: Choose what goes with what you want. Don't run a 4-2-1 if you want to shift your powerband to the top. 4-2-1 headers move your powerband to the middle helping with torque. 4-1 if you want to race and have a powerband that is higher.

I don't want to turbo yet and i don't want to ls vtec it. I know I can make good power nonvtec and it'll be way more fun to kick the **** out of some of my friends cars. Everyone makes fn of my LS, i want to throw it in their faces. thanks for the responses so far though they've been a lot of help.
