Default Clutch Opinion

Hey Bros,

Need an opinion here. Im rebuilding a d16a6. Im planning on eagle rods and rollerwaves for pistons. Or maybe not. The issue as usual is money. But either way ...Im runnin boost..whether it be stock or on a nice solid bottem end. If I run stock, then ill run 6-8 lbs of boost. If I run the eagle rods and pistons, then ill run the boost higher. Im also going to use an aluminum flywheel. Now heres the question.

I had my sights on a CM stage 3 clutch. I was scammed and never got it. Honestly im out big money wise and product wise. Im looking into a more budgetable clutch...and this car is only used on the weekends...I drive an Accord as a daily driver...

Whattya guys think? ...Im looking into the exedy organic...could that hold 8lbs of boost? ....im also lookin at the ACT 6 puck...how about a Centerforce?...rather cheap but apparently they hold 90% over stock....voice your opinions...thanks...

also, if this helps, i dont see this car as a 'long haul' type of car...ill use and abuse it for a year or so then dump it and move on to the b series...

i have exedy racing organic running 8-9psi. so far it is holding up.

I would go for something like a cm stage3 if you are going to run more boost.

I've had good luck with my ACT XTSS. It requires a stronger calf though.

it's a d15b2 with mpfi conversion... it pretty much performs like an a6.

havent taken it to track or dyno tuning(i know i should). but I've ran it against my friend's stock s2000, and the S was just a tad faster.

As for the clutch, I would only recommend it if you are on a budget. it is prob close to the bare minimum you should use. the racing clutch, organic disc is rated at 69% increase in clamping force -- so if you are making 150ft lb torque thats prob coming close to the limit. i'm sure the numbers they get are for ideal sitations, and i doubt every clutch will perform the exact same.

cerametallic is 133% increase... that might be better but i dont know about smoothness or how long it lasts.
