That's exactly happened to me. But do I need the whole iginition system or just the switch itself? I took apart, and called the dealer part dept. The dude said I have to change the whole ignition system??? And the whole igition system is running about 300. So any body in here replace their switch itself yet? Let me know, please. After I took it apart, and measure it. I think it just the switch by ifself. So I don't think I need the whole iginition assembly (including the keylock). By the way my car is 93 SE. Thank

Wow dude you are getting ripped off. It should only cost you like 46 dollars for parts. First rule never take it to the dealer.

Yeah, when I hold the key it stays on, but when I let it go it turns off. I'll be replacing the ignition switch tomorrow or the next day. It's costing me around $35 for the switch and $59 to get it replaced. Thanks for the help.

I never go the local dealer for OEM parts. Try out Majestic Honda online. They have diagrams from the tech manuals so you can see exactly which part you are ordering. And they KILL the dealer's prices. Only downside is shipping and handling charges. But the price still ends up significantly lower and you don't have to "trust" the dealer to look anything up for you.

Well I bought the ignition switch(60$) and replaced it myself. Works great now. Thanks everyone for your help. This was my first time on this forum and it kicks ***! Thanks.
