Default Loose ash tray mount in 01 teg

Whats up all? My question is concerning the ashtray and area around it, I recently had a stereo installed and without the factory radio that piece is all loose and has a gap on the driver side of it. Anybody have a fix for this? It looks like caca.

thanx

The same exact thing happened to me... all you have to do is drill a screw on the inside of the ash tray holder.

Take the ash tray out

Drill a screw into the side of the wall (driver's side)

Place ash tray back into the holder.

I had this problem too. The problem is......the people who installed it cut a few corners and probably accidentally broke part of the mounting clip. I've seen it many times.

Do what the above poster said and screw it in on the inside so you can't see it. Works like a charm.
