Go to pepboys or autozone and ask for the glue to attach the mirror to the windshield. It's some wierd, two tube, epoxy stuff that works pretty well. HTH

which part exactly is broken or off? if I recall correctly.. the rearview mirror support/mount (not sure what its called) is mounted on the headliner by 3 screws in a triangular arrangement... the screws are covered by a plastic plate/panel which you can pry off w/ a screwdriver.. you might want to put a cloth or wrap duct tape around the screwdriver tip so you don't scratch the cover (if you care)...

or are you talking about the physical mirror part.. that came off the pivot/ball joint? if its the latter I assume you can press hard to snap it back in.. since your friend probably knocked it hard and it came off...

if its the first (the mount/screws) not sure if the mount/plastic is broken.. or if the screws are stripped at this point.. in 7 years of ownership and having lots of passengers in my car.. I've never had my rearview mirror knocked off.. but I have taken it off/apart before to try and make it stiffer so it doesn't move/change position when the subs hit...
