Default Blitz air filters?

Does anyone have experience with Blitz stainless steel air filters?
They claim not only higher performance but also you never have to replace them and you clean them with water.

They even make one that is for the Type R.
I'm considering getting one of these and sticking it on the end of an Injen pipe. I'd love to hear if anyone has any experience/advice regarding them.

I personally think that there is no just thing as maintenance free filter, where will all the dust go, doesn't make any sense at all. Plus look at the price, K&N is still the way to go.

Does anyone know why the Apexi filter perform so well (HP wise). It's just a paper filter like the stock one, right?

If anyone is interested I do have an ApexI Intake system ('97-01 ITR), brand new, still in the box, never used, for sale.

If interested, you could respond to me on here or e-mail at itr_01@hotmail.com.

Man, that A'PEXi air filter looks pretty nice.
I would think that removing the filter and tapping any dust particles out of it, or blowing it out with some air would suffice.

The cleaning aspect of the A'PEXi filter looks super. I wonder if the test was biased at all... i mean, it looks like the A'PEXi filter has ZERO dirt on it at all..

hmmm...
