16.7 in the 1320?????
The track finally opened this weekend and I decided to go. Since this was the first time I have ever ran the 1/4 mile at a track I wasn't expecting anything great. I was hoping for 15.8-16.0. My first run....
r/t....0.938
60....2.591
330....7.188
1/8....10.886/66.02mph
1000.....14.096
1/4.....16.780/84.45mph
My second and last run....
r/t....1.318
60....2.731
330....7.201
1/8....10.899/66.15
1000....14.089
1/4....16.668/82.7mph
I don't understand how my r/t, 60 ft times and trap speed were slower and I accidently hit the rev limiter on the second run and had a better 1/4 mile time. Also why was I in the high 16's. Does the r/t....60 ft time affect your runs that much? Also it was 87 degrees air temp and 112 degrees track temp my first run and 89 degrees air temp and 114 track temp my second run. could the temp affected my times this much. I felt a little better when I saw a few other 99-00 Si's running about the same and even slower.
I forgot to add that I am a big guy. I weigh around 280-290
would this slow me down this much.

from your 60' times, it seems like you just need some practice
launching
you should be able to pull at least low 16's
what elevation is the track at?

ur 60's are horrible but id b concerned with the MPH, ur at least 6MPH slower than u should be at any pt on the track. even at 87 degrees u should have more MPH than u do.

your reaction time has no affect on your ET... it does affect if you can win or not... but your 60' time is ver important to your ET... take it like this... 1/10th of a second on your 60' equals about 2/10th's of your ET... so if you get your 60' down to a 2.1 or 2.2 you can see your car could be in the low 16's...

I was over at Keystone on sat... what were you driving??
I had my turbo B16 Sol there. I blew a charge pipe off my first run... then after that... because it was so hot... I only ran 6 psi. (still not tuned perfectly)
I managed to get a 15.1 @ 93. my 60's were 2.5.
Need to get tuned, and practice more.

I was there on Sunday. I have a black 00 Si with sri/h/e and short shifter. My car has B&M SportShifter and NX Racing decals on the rear windows. I will probably be there this Sunday. Hopefully I will be able to get more than 2 runs in. There was like 300 cars there and like 25-30 bikes. I had to wait almost 2 1/2 hours for my second run. Also I forgot to mentoin that I had just drove about 65 miles to the track and had to run like 10 minutes after I arrived. I got there as they were starting to run.

Have you ever heard of Kittanning. That is where I live. Hope to be at the track this Sunday. I would go Sat. but mom is getting married so hopefully I will be there on Sun. Also I forgot to mention that I am a big guy, I weigh around 280-290. Would that slow me down that much? Some people say it would?

Hey this is MrAcura's wife. You really should try Quaker City Raceway. Go to quakercityraceway.com for directions. I actually liked their track better than keystone. I did a personal best last weekend. But I won't rub it in anymore since it was against my hubby! Love ya hon! (he still beats me in my own car so I just got lucky) We've gone to Keystone a few times and only got 3 to 4 runs due to so many cars there. And it's 66 miles away from us. Not really worth the drive. But on the other hand we've never been to quaker city on a regular track day so we have no idea how many cars are there.
Yeah that is what I tell my self. But I am going to change all of that. I bought a CrossBow, kind of like the BowFlex, a few months ago and have been using it. So hopefully I will lose the weight I have to. But a good driver could offset the weight somewaht
I thought it was funny though when this kid who was like 140-150 lbs ran a high 17 and backed it up with a low 19. made me feel pretty good. Also I feel Pitt Raceway wasn't in that good of shape. It seemed that if you did not have slicks you couldn't launch very well. I seen cars pull 1-2 second slower than should of. There was an WRX with "some" work pull a high 14. I really didn't talk to the guy, but some of the people said he was able to pull low-mid 13's. I saw an 03 Spec-V pul a low 16????? Maybe I will have to try Quakerstate and see what happens. And Joe (soulrider) your car is the slowest out there
