Default J's Racing Carbon Fiber Tsuchinoko Chamber Intake!

Anyone want to see a pic?

Yasu from Racing Craft emailed me the picture. It look much better than the plastic version that looked like a giant *****. Anyways, I don't have photo hosting so if I can email it to someone so they could post it, I think some people here would like to see it.

Yasu said J's Racing has had very good results from it. 5-7whp across the entire RPM range.

The picture he sent to me was an uninstalled photo. Here are some pictures installed.

Here is one with a heat shield. (Available soon...)

I think that there is one for ABS coming out in November.

Plastic $ 199.00
CF $ 250.00

Check out Racing Craft for more info...

Anybody know where I can get a TopFuel intake like that for my EG B18C hybrid?
I like the looks of that intake, a lot of area behind the filter should get along very well with my Toda cams and pistons. From what I hear, volume is what these babies want...

It just proves MIT *made in Taiwan* is just as good and is on par with the crazed JDM standard.

The SRR lower control arms are widely used by TopFuel on the EK Civics and this intake was orginally designed and implemented on the Civics in Taiwan before somebody discovered it would be a dope setup for twincams.....

It still looks like a big floppy wiener; just CF! How’s the performance? Dyno plots anyone?

I was just talking to Yasu about that thing last week or so when I saw him at an Auto-X, "my first."

He states that it generates a higher velocity of air. I understand that as the air enters at the tighter piping and progresses, it has a more direct flow from the filter to the TB and then tapers to the TB's size. I'd guess allowing for freer flow or more direct intake.

Is the velocity or "Charge" induced by the intake taper or compression and then balloon and then taper again?

Or is it just a straighter freer flowing pipe? That allows for better air intake and throttle response?

I'm unsure since my conversation was kinda quick and I was next up.

I'm not eactly sure if and or how it generates a higher velocity of flow, could be the intake horn design coupled with the piping design but, You're right he said it is all the rage in Japan and Taiwan.

BTW Yasu is a great guy in person and so much fun to talk to about this stuff. He has 2 awesome cars: 1. Civic hatch JDM/CTR transplant that he uses for time trials and 2. a fully track prepped ITR that he uses for track events.

He knows his stuff and is a good honest dealer.

That intake looks nice, but I still like the ARC... He was admiring my stuff "& comptech icebox" but, says that alot of cars in Japan run short-rams or intakes similar to this one posted here from J's...

Good luck guys and be safe...

A.

PS Someone needs to post a dyno of this to see if it will produce more than a regular intake or CAI, Just out of curiosity!

Even the CF version is still a big fat *****. If this thing don't give me 3 whp more than Icebox, I will not go for it.
