Default how much does wheel size affect gearing?

i was thinking the other day about putting a b16 tranny on my gsr motor for the shorter gear ratios.... quicker acceleration and all that fun stuff. and then it occurred to me that my 17" wheels are supposed to be causing my gear ratios to be longer as well...... so now i'm wondering if anyone knows just how much longer my ratios are with the 17" wheels as opposed to a set of 15" wheels..... is it like the difference between an si and gsr tranny? or is it more subtle than that? i like my wheels, so i'd rather not change them if the difference is minor..... but if smaller wheels will cut 2 or 3 tenths off my 1/4 mile time, then my wheels will be out the door in a hurry.....

17" inch wheels will cause your gear ratios to be longer........
If your into racing thats not the way to go,

15 inch wheels are perfect, you will pull harder
