Default GSR gen2 Questiion

Ok im running a GSR in my gen2(DB1) and the only way to get the IM to fit was to buy the skunk 2 and im not really seeing any gains from the skunk2 IM, my internals are still stock besides P&P i lknow that some cams would help (ITR or Skunk2) but i really want to get some power out of this IM...its an N/A setup and just got past it break in period...i dduno should i just throw a B16 head on there any sugestions??

well if your gonna get a skunk2 intake mani your gonna want a new ecu bc it start help you at around 7000rpms so you redline a lil after that it wouldnt do much so would recomon you to get a p28

i wouldnt put a b16 head on, if yours is already ported and polished. the IM by itself is probabaly not going to give you major gains. do you already have and intake, header, exhaust??? id get cams and valvetrain to get the most out of your head and intake.

yeah i have all the bolt ons...yeah the cams and engine build was what i was thinking too...didnt know if i was heading down the wrong road and didnt want to drop the coin till i had some feedback from HT thanks

a gen 2 gs-r is a DB2, a four door 90-93 intega is a DB1 lol

I do believe that this is a GSR engine that has been swapped into a DB1 rather than a factory GSR. From the sound of it, it's a B18C1 swap.

I would rock the SK2 mani and get a a J's chip, from http://www.hyperducktuning.com/. I wouldnt get a P28 with out different cams. I say get the J's and keep the crossover a 4400 and just get a CTR intake cam or full set of CTR cams. Skunk2 mani should show some good gains. I "hear" that if you dont have a header your gonna be losing some Tq, i dont know if you have a header or not.
