is it worth the extra $40 to get the chromoly instead of the DOM race roll bar

 

I dont think they have them available anymore...Only make them in DOM now.

 

Do any of you actually put people in the back with that roll bar? I noticed back seats in that one, what do back seat passengers think?

 

There's a removable cross brace

 

Ahhhh, smart. I see it now.

 

It is next to impossible to weld on additions to a chromoly bar. It is much easier to add to a DOM bar, if you ever wanted to add the front cage to it, or any other support in the future.

 

Here's mine...I still have rear speakers, and this particular bar is one w/ removable cross members....notice the bolts holding the diagnol and the cross brace onto the loop.

did any of you with this find that it stiffened up the chassis and are your worried of getting into an accident on the street and hitting your head on the bars?

 

is there enough room to add padding to the AP rollbar???

 

Yes there is enough room for padding if you want it. And NO i'm not really worried about hitting my head on it in a street accident. I always wear my seat belt, and If im in an accident in which my head had some chance of hitting that bar(read very bad), I think I'd still be happy it was there.

Yes, its possible. Unlike Fais who doesn't like his noggin I installed padding on the entire section from the center bar up. I don't think there is a likely hood of hitting it but for a couple of bucks in padding I rather not get the headache
