check this out...... a guy who workes at a honda dealeership responded to my question if the new ctr is comming to canada saying.....yes! I couldn't beleive it so I emailed him back saying "are you sure it's the TYPE R" version and he once again said yes!??? WTF???????

 

Don't hold your breath we were supposed to get a Civic Type R here (US) two years ago, people were actually putting deposits on them. The civic that was released was the Coupe SI

 

Get real!!!! Use your brain. I would say that if I am the salesperson. Never believe one thing said by a salesperson unless it's on paper, signed, dated, like a contract. They are paid to sell you cars. They are not salvation army. A guy from the dealership told me the STI was suppose to be here too, now what do we get. We don't even know if the RSX R will come, not to talk about civic R.

 

I worked at a dealership and trust me, they all talk ****.......

 

Sounds kinda like a Honda Stream which is basically inlarge and verison of the 4 door civic hatch into a mini size MPV's..they been in the Europe for about 5-6 months now.

Also the STi is here because recently I talked with friend at SOA in NJ and he told me it's being tested right now so it will be ready alittle after the Jan release of the UK verison.

 

As much as I generally don't believe salespeople I have a feeling this one might not be talking smack. I don't know why. I remember going to my local Honda dealership in mid to late 91. I asked about the new Civic and he said it would be nice. Then I asked what was going to happen with the new CRX? He told me "it's going to be a targa, like the Porsche 911". I was pretty young, so I believed him right away. I didn't think about it much again until it was on the cover of Car and Driver like forever later.

Then again, these days rumours don't spread as slowly as they did then, so who knows... I still think we're going to get the CTR instead of the ITR...

 

The problem with the CTR in the states is the cost is going to put it over 20 grand close to RSX Type S catorgory..which means it be getting into the market share of Acura something that Honda doesn't want competition within it self.

 

Could it just be the new SiR comming out soon?.. not the R.. ya think? hmm.. either way i think the new hatch is fugly! .. looks like a mini-odessey

 

The Honda Stream is the mini MPV hehe
