Alright incublinkus' oil pan on the new b16a just got dented pretty bad. Don't ask how please. We're just worried about the oil pickup, where is it? And is a dented oil pan something that needs to be fixed ASAP, soon, don't drive it!!, or future repair nothing too serious?

Please immediate attention to this would be greatly appreciated. As well as any other relavant info.

 

i would say yes it needs immediate attention..but i can be wrong....bump for some more info..

 

Yeah I wouldn't recomend driving it at all.
If it's dented you could starve your engine for oil.

 

The car is running fine, not overheating and nothing has seized. The dent is in the front leading edge and the oil pickup is towards the center of the pan. So from other replies resources it seems as though there is nothing that requires immediate attention.

 

If the dent is minor don't worry about it.

I dented the **** out of my oil pan on my b18 and, and it still drove like a ****.

 

just take the pan off and see if the dent is below/near the pickup

if it is...beat the **** out of it to get the clearence back. if it's not close, don't worry about it

if you do worry, just get another oil pan, they're cheap as ****
