I have a 96 civic hatch and i swapped a sir2 b16 into it. I wired everything and timed it. I also have no codes. My engine idles fine but when u try to rev it it just dies out at like 3500. It wont go pass 5000 rpms at all. Does anyone know what my problem is cuz it would really help me out.

could the computer be fucked up...oh and he is just guessing with the rpms he doesnt have a tach the computer is a p30

 

I cant say this is what is wrong but..

i was going do the road and my car started do that . it turnd out that it was coming from under the d-cap .

what mine did was the button came lose and f-ed up the cole or how ever you spell it.

but anyways look under your d-cap and see if anything is wrong..


mine would not go over 3200 rpm and i do have a tac:.

 

yea if i were you i would check under your distributor cap and see if there is anything wrong under there, cant promise thats the problem, but just trying to be a help

 

its not my ecu, ill check under the d-cap and see how it is. i think it might be my throttle position sensor, but i'll get back to u on the d-cap thanks
