6th generation swap worth it?
I've been reading recent posts and it seems like everyone is saying, that rather than swapping engines (h22's h23's) into a 6th gen, its more beneficial to just boost the stock engine. Aside from adding a few hp would it be better to just invest money into a turbo system?
turbo is always the better road to take when it comes to money spent and power gained. considering its a 6th gen it more than likelky has low mileage and is perfect for boost. you can rebuilkd the engine if you would like but you can run 8-10 psi safely in the f series no problems (for quite some time) 8 psi would more trhan likely be the best for a daily driver considering reliability. def worth it to turbo

In a 6th gen....if its a stock 4 banger and manny it will take boost really well. The accords auto trannies are not that "great" for either the 4 banger or the 6. You could swap into a h22 but for the price of the swap you could get into a decent turbo system and not jeopardize reliability (while running safe/low boost). I believe on a stock f22 or f23 6-8lbs is a good mix for daily driving w/stock internals and will yield more power than a h22. However the h series swap is known for its reliability because your not messing with putting a snail on a engine not necessarily a turbo'd engine.
Hope this helps

thanks. i do have a 4cyl. but its unfortunately auto. I'm considering a man. swap b/c the transmission is blown. out of curiosity what makes a 4cyl more compatible with turbo than a 6?
Mainly room, compatibility and the 6's have a supercharger available.
You could do a supercharger on your 4 banger but it would be more beneficial for a snail.
