Default i need help choosing a civic

i've decided to run a hornet class dirt track racing, which is a stock 4cyl with no engine mods no suspension mods just stock. I'm going to do this as inexpensive as i can and i'm don't plan on spending more than $1000 for the car and that would probably put me at a late 80's early 90's civic if i get a hell of a deal, so I was looking for some some suggestions on a car type, engine type, body style, any input would br greatly appreciated.

Try a 1st gen. Acura. My father-in-law is the car owner of one that races in Maine.

Pretty cheap to acquire.

Seems like there are probably several good options - Civic Si or that first-gen Integra, for example. Go with what you can find cheap. What are the weight/displacemen rules? In some cases, you can't get to the class minimum with a 1.5 or 1.6 so it makes more sense to go with a bigger engine like a 2nd-gen Integra?
