Have you guys ever done this?
Well i remember when i went to pomona and i put "white shoe polish" on my bogarts in the front so that i wont trip the lights, there were some pro's out there telling me that the sun would emitt light towards the sensors and cause the light to trip or red light! just wondering if anyone has done it? I did it and nothing went wrong, my buddy didnt do it and he got a red! funny huh?
A few years ago some of the pro teams were doing this. I remember seeing the kubos using shoepolish and I believe a handful of others for that reason. However, I do not know if the whole light reflection was actually the problem. But hey, any excuse for why you redlite is better then no excuse right? haha I think that was the real reasoning behind it. So to answer you question, yeah racers really did do that. However I no longer see racers doing that anymore.
havent heard of that one. Only putting the polish on the wheelie bar wheels to see how much is needed to adjust for either side.-pdang
I would think your polished bogarts, would give a better chance of reflecting light back to the sensors, before the shoe polish would..
