timing issues with swap. please help
ok i put and obd1 f22b2 in my 97 lx. used the obd1 dizzy wired into the crank position plug on the obd2 harness. timing is way off now. checked cam to crank timing and its correct so it has to be the ignition. can someone please give me the proper way to wire the dizzy so i can see if its done wrong??? also its being run off an obd1 ecu with conversion harness.
if youa re running of of an obd1 ecu and distributor leave teh crank sensors alone that are down near the oil pump. i would doub;e check all teh wiring to teh distributor and see if any of that is off.
as you already know the obd1 motor doesnt have the crank sensor at the crank, its in the distributor. i could NOT get that coil to spark without having the dizzy partially wired in the crank sensor or the obd2 harness. basically the signal wasnt gettin to the ecu to tell it to fire. now that it is running the timing is just advanced about 2 inches when looking at the crank pulley(however many degress that would be) i pulled all the bolts from the dizzy housing and retarted it almost 90 degrees for it to be about right. cam to crank timing has been checked over and over so it is correct, gotta be some wiring issue. what i am looking for is the correct way to wire the distributor if anyone has a diagram.
