Default FYI - 4th gen weight

1993 Accord LX w/ H22A/M2A4 tranny

approx 2780 lbs. give or take 5 lbs.

this is without trunk lining, back seat, ceiling panels and the panels around the windows, antenna assembly

includes approx. 2/3 tank of gas, about 15 lbs. of crap(books and such), coolant/oil/fluids topped off, carbon fiber hood, 16 in. axis touring cup rims

also, i am aiming for 2600 lbs.ish for the track, prolly gonna remove power steering, rear window regulators/motors whatever its called, and front seat, how much will these cut down and what other reccoomendations to cut weight other than a/c and less fuel and such, are there metal pieces anywhere that serve no pupose or anything just taking up weight??? when bat dies i will be getting a smaller one too

thanks

Default Re: FYI - 4th gen weight (twistedbydezign)

You could remove the carpeting and sounds deadening material (tar) and save another 20-30lbs. Replace your battery with a lightweight one (normal battery weighs about 20-25lbs and can get one 10lbs) a/c ps you should be down a good 50-60 lbs.

Could remove passenger seat all trim and panels (gut the interior of everything but gauge cluster, steering wheel shifter and your seat.
