StopTech brakes won't fit!
I recently ordered a StopTech big brake kit for my 2000 R. After a long wait (plus those hefty shipping prices), the brake kit didn't fit the 17x7.5 Volk Racing Gram Lights 57C (+40 offset I think); the caliper would rub with the wheel.
I saw a picture of an integra with the same brake kit as mine with SSR Competition wheels (on StopTech's website).
My only option, I think, is to buy new wheels (which I don't mind). But the problem is, what wheel offset should I be looking at for those brakes to fit?
Thanx in advance!
At least the Tein Type Flex did fit!

So you don't know for certain your wheel offset?
This is key in figuring if big brake kits will fit your wheel and vice versa, and for certain what you should tell them before spending all that time and money and effort so they can let you know if everything will fit. But water is under the bridge already.
Have you considered spacers and if need be, extended studs?

Honestly, it was my mistake that I didn't check StopTech's website thoroughly, as it turns out that they have a .pdf file that you could print and check if the brakes do fit. Well, I was late in doing that
I guess I had to learn my lesson the hard and more expensive way.
And like you said, since the water is under the bridge already, I'll have to deal with it from here.
As for the extended studs, I already have a driveshaft shop stage 3 axles with extended studs. That didn't help. I didn't try spacers though. Will spacers cause any safety issues? Is adding spaces done regularly in cases such as mine?

check the Roadrace and autoX forum, lots of people in there run spacers for the track

My SSR Type C 15x7.5 are +38, if that helps.

How much space do you need for the calipers? How far off is the fit? Just a mm or two?
Call StopTech and see if they don't have a list of wheels that work w/the ITR applications.
As GreyTeg says, too, it's very easy to find extended studs and spacers, since the racing DC2 have been around for so long.

Yes, it is regularly done, and you're only talking about a few mm. It works fine, and a lot of racers do it to fit bigger wheels or unusual brake applications.

I probably need one or two mm like you said George Knighton. With the extended studs and spacers, will the existing extended studs of the axle be an issue?
