v-tec not working

my v-tec wont kick in anyone no what could be wrong?

i just did a mini me swap with a 1.5 block and y8 head but at the same time i had to do a dx to si wiring setup, i have my v-tec going to a switch untill i get my v-afc it works some times and when it does work it dont work as good as it should or it just wont even work.

what could be wrong wit it?
