Type R's are part of the World Challenge Series (Touring Car to be more specific). Anyone heard when the switch to the RSX will be?
Seems like I was right all along and people kept on yaking about it all the time. So basically it's going to be just like what you see now just under a different name title and regional Nascar races which means you probably will see it if it's in your area or region on Speed Channel. The only changes to F1 I believe they won't be showing few races because its on the same day of certain Nascar races..but that doesn't mean they won't show it just not cover it live like they did these last few yrs.
Just remeber that a lot of the contracts with some of these series expires after the 2002 season.
Relivied that there is a stay of execution--Now EVRYONE watch the good stuff and get up those ratings!!!!---And those who think nascar is "the good stuff" need not apply

I think Type R's will no longer be in the World Challenge Series, unless they are run by independent teams. The Realtime guys are going to RSX's. (please correct me if I am wrong)...
Now on a side note....is this considered OFF-TOPIC and shouldn't be posted here? I like this post and I am glad it is here. But some may consider this post competition not Type R related.

I'm wondering the same thing, when is the switch to the RSX going to happen? I thought I remembered them saying on the broadcast of the last race last season that Realtime would be driving the RSX this season. I guess I was confused or something happened. On a side note, I'm pretty sure Roger Foo will be switching to a 99-00 Civic Si next season.
Actually races like Le Mans, F1, WRC mostly FIA events all are done a yearly contract basis just like they do overseas. Also the World Challenge next yr contract was just signed since it wasn't going to come back next yr, which was the word around the beinging of the race season.
