Default no atts power loss?

i know that people say that atts robs about 5 to 10 hp compared to a base model because of the extra stuff working , and also people that have higher hp engines take the fuse out disabling it so it wont go crazy or hurt it if they ever want it back, my question is if you take the fuse out when you go to the dyno or just for racing and stuff, will you gain that hp back, if it isnt being active then is it still working and stuff , i mean i know i wont have the torque transfer but if i can pull higher dyno numbers and have more hp might be worth it ya know? hope everyone understands what im saying?

i would think that it has less hp because there are more moving parts in an SH transmission and more driveline loss because of friction and heat and whatnot.
