Default 4040 prop valve question on install

I have done a rear disk swap on my crx and drove it for about 4 months without the 4040 prop valve....the brakes felt better after the swap but the pedal needed to be pumped a few times and it was a really stiff pedal feel then so thats why i decided to get the valve; after the 4040 install and all the brake lines were bled several times the pedal feels awful and it almost goes all the way to the floor. My only idea of what might be wrong is maybe a leak in the valve? just how tight do the hard brake lines have to be running to the valve? Seems like they were on with locktite from factory. anybody else have this problem?

The valve could be bad. Also, you don't need to upgrade the pro valve if you are just adding rear disc. The 4040 is for Integra brakes all around (that means including the front).

we'll i know that the 4040 valve is a good upgrade with the rear disk swap so thats not the problem, i think the 90-91 si prop valve was a 4030? why does my pedal feel shitty? how do u know if the valve is bad?

You know it could be either your master cylinder or your brake booster went bad. Try this go out and push on the pedal with the car off and see if the pedal sinks and then do the same thing with the car running. I belive if it sinks when the car is off you have a bad M/C if it sinks when the car is on the booster or a booster line could be bad. I would check out the easy stuff first before you swap anything out.

Sure you can use it on a Civic. But there is a reason it was not.

if the breaks go to the floor even when u pump them a few times when the car is on. thats a bad M/C. or when the car is off and they fall to the floor when u apply pressure. also bad M/C.

i just replaced the front left and right hard line break lines and master cyl.. pedal play ? whats that.

just make sure u get all of the air out of the line, use a 1 man bleeder kit from autozone, costs like 6$ most ghetto ******* kit u could possibly buy but it works sooooo good...
