okay okay Spoon dampers another typo...heh</TD></TR></TABLE>
If you are talking about the Spoon "Fixed Damper Kit" then you probably want to shop for the best conveniently obtained price between the Spoon Fixed Damper Kit and the Mugen Sport Suspension.
Whichever one's easier to get and cheaper, I'd just go that way.
To be honest, the springs and Showa shocks are probably the same on both the Spoon and the Mugen kit, provided you're talking about the street version of the Fixed Damper Kit.
Don't hesitate to call AJ Racing and ask them about it. They're a friendly group of people who will tell you straight up just what the truth is. They'll tell you the difference between spring rates, too, if there is a difference. I think that Mike of IPS Racing is still a dealer for AJ Racing and he might be able to streamline the purchase if that's the way you decide to go.
You could also contact by PM the member "97 Type-R 312" who has already posted in this thread. The last time I was in his garage, he had a spare Mugen Sport Suspension already sitting there.
I have the Mugen Sport Suspension on my own EP3 because it was the first generally available high quality suspension to come out. I have not had occasion to regret the decision, and it does give the car a better handling character.

spoon chose not to release the fixed damper kit on the EP3 and DC5 too many problems with blown struts, thry are using stiffer dampening than mugens, and a lower ride height.
I've had the Mugen SS for about three months now. Installation with a friend took about four hours all in all because we had never done it before. Most time spent on some hard-to-get-to nuts (rear strut tower), making sure we didn't mess up the tierods, and compressing the rear struts to get the bolts back in, etc. Total drop 1.4 inches, no need for camber adjustment plates. Had alignment checked after install, all within tolerance. The car is much more composed now. Fast tight curves no longer require constant steering adjustments. Weight of the entire Mugen SS, btw, is exactly the same as the stockers. I would definitely get the Mugen SS again.
Mugen Sport Suspension
I haven't had anyone disappointed after installing this system. a JDM 22mm Rear Sway finishes it off quite well.

what about buddy club... they seem to make a pretty nice coilover system for the EP3...
I love the buddy clubs for DC2/EG/EK... awesome product ESP for the price in my humble opinion.
Ride great on the street... and crank them up for the track and they are flawless.

Buddy Clubs are another $1000 more than the Mugen setup, and a completely different type of coilover made for a different, more track oriented purpose.

Exactly like Todd said, the BC are definitely a nice part but not worth it unless you plan on tracking the car alot more, Kinda like the Zeal V6.
