Default K20A2 prices

I've finally convinced myself to swap my engine, anyone know any good places to buy k20a2's? my friend says he can get it from his friends in Hawaii for about 4000 plus shipping, is that a good price?

you could probably get them cheaper on e-bay or even call some local junkyards for crashed type S's.

They typically go for $2500-3000. The 02s have weaker valve springs if you plan on spending a lot of time in the upper RPMs.

wrong man. the 02s have dual valve springs and the new ones have single. they used a stronger type of material.

Don't waste your time trying to get it from here. You'd have to pay shipping costs from Hawaii to the mainland. Better off buying it there or eBay. You can buy a smashed Type-S for around $5-6000

I have a complete k20a2 / 6spd swap for $2900 but there's a couple people ahead of you if you're interested.

No ****. The 03's single valve springs are stronger than the 02's double springs.

Congrats...but my swap includes alot more than just a head and trans...

I'm including COMPLETE K20A2 Longblock (short block AND head...assembled) Intake Manifold, Exhaust manifold, Catalytic Converter, Mounts, Wiring Harness, Subframe, ECU, Axles, 6-spd Transmission complete with clutch, flywheel, all accessories, etc, etc...

Price is very fair...

The valve spring on the 03-04 RSX-S are the same as the ones on the S2000. IF you don't believe me just check the part numbers for both.
