I've had enough. I've had enough of the non-owner flamers who invade forums just to flame their owners. I've had enough of people who don't know anything they're talking about. And I've had enough of the liars who can't back up their wild-*** claims with any data that can be verified anywhere.

Sorry, Wes, but now the ITR Expo 2002 is all yours, so please don't come looking to me for any advice. I'm not going to spend any of my time helping put on an event for a community that tolerates a few lame whiners.

Cars are for enjoyment. These forums SHOULD be for enjoyment. But there are just a few too many immature, insecure little nerds around here, and it's just not fun hanging out here any more. Too bad the moderators let a few crybabies spoil the atmosphere for everyone here.

I'm going for a drive now. THAT will still be fun. Anyone who wants to find me, just send me a private e-mail; I'm still reachable. But don't look for me here, and don't expect me to read any more of those juvenile insults.

Yes, I agree. The quality of this forum has declined since I started posting here. But I just try to filter out the junk and read the good stuff.

There are way too many OT's and Polls that has nothing to do with ITR tech/performance.

I admit that I posted some OT's early on, but learned to curb the bad habit. It's a shame that too many non ITR owners post/ask too many non ITR questions. Those should be moved/deleted to appropriate forums by the moderators. I love to help out everyone, but the ITR forum has become everyone's playground.

I agree with CPR.No offense to anyone but I expect nothing less in most cases.I have noticed there is a broad spectrum of people you deal with when you are playing with Honda's.It comes with the territory.If I could afford a Porsche I would have one,but then I would have to deal with arrogant elitists.I have other hobbies and there are trolls there aswell.

 

I agree that the quality of this forum has gone downhill. Way too many OT posts, lots of flamming. When someone posts a problem they're having half the responses end up being some smart *** remark. I think the moderators need to start clamping down.

Sorry to see you go nsxtcjr, you were one of the few guys on this board I always could count on for a straight answer. Hopefully I will see you in Chicago for some track events

How do we have some of these "mute" moderators for our forum? We all know which mods really look after the forum and which don't...

You hit it right on the head. This is the reason I became a mod @ H/T back in the day when Trey & I were discussing this same topic in the begninning, and the reason Im so active in these forums. I still enjoy them, because I just try and ignore the stupid stuff.

Another problem occurs when moderators get too strict and start taking these forums too seriously...they are just for fun, and whats fun for one may not appeal to another, and thats where the problem occurs.

Just try and take everything with a grain of salt and not make it out to be such a big deal. I dont see why you wouldnt want to come here and enjoy what you still can, instead of letting these few annoyances bug you so much.

What do you guys want from us moderators? I cleaned this section a couple of times and I get a bunch of angry IMs. So now I just let things go unless I get at least 3 complaints about a certain thread at which I will lock/delete it promptly. If most of ya want me to be an 455hole and delete every single OT/flames or just chit in general, I can do that also. Trust me, I can be an 455hole

Unfortunately, I dont have the time to read every single thread and post (nor do I want to). The Mods may have the final say in what stays or goes, but it's all up to YOU the ITR owners that need to speak up and let us know.

just ignore them. Stay NsxJr... i've read alot of stuff from you and it helped me alot. There are always jerks everywhere so theres no use leaving.. But if you still decide to leave .. Just wanna say thanks for posting useful tech stuff that made me more educated about owning an R. I believe all the info i've read on H-t will make my R last for as long as I live. I have more info than would have ever known from modding and fixing cars. Now all i need is more experience.. Thanks Though....... take care..

Thats a tough one. On the one hand, I like to read the OT stuff. On the other hand, I hate to see the hard tech questions get pushed off the page by OT ****...

I think the heavy OT barrage the ITR forum has faced recently is due to the fact that it's right up there with the kill stories forum in terms of people traffic density. The more traffic, the more exposure a topic receives, the more likely it is to be replied to.
I agree that there's no black and white when it comes to what posts should stay and which ones should be moved. Before I name some topics that I feel should be moved, please understand that I have nothing against the people that started the topics I'm about to mention. One that pops into mind is "Where's a good place to install some strobe lights in the Bay Area." Another one was about the resonator being removed from a Honda Odyssey.
In the end, it's really up to the moderators and I trust their judgement. Like I said in my previous post, I personally just ignore the topics I don't want to read. At the same time, I believe this forum needs a mild cleanup so that the real tech topics don't get pushed aside, as someone mentioned previously.

Correction - The ITR forum is only rivaled by the Integra forum in terms of posts and topics
