Default HELP WITH B18C1 in CRX Headers

I have 91 crx with a b18c1 gsr swap. i have the dc sports 4-2-1 gsr header for it but i cannot seem to get it past the cross member to bolt it on. I have tried banging the cross memeber and even grinding it. any suggestions will help.

i had a similar problem with my 2 piece eldebrock header in my hatch with the flange on it. i just grinded the **** out of it until it fit. your header can't be as difficult as mine was, because yours is a one piece.... yes yes. keep gringing until it fits. **** it as long is works, unless you want to buy an aftermarket cross member.

i have the same set up mine fits perfect. You need to take the crossmember off and maybe even you radiator. I put mine in when i did the swap. so i didnt have to do all that. Im assuming its a 1 piece correct?

with Place Racing/Hasport mounts, the 4-1 one piece DC Sports header requires bashing the $hit out of the crossmember (i used to own one). I now have a DC 4-2-1 header on my B18C, and we did not have to bash it at all. Just drop the crossmember. It's 4 bolts, and the 2 nuts on the radius rod ends. hth

yea i banged the hell out of my cross member and then grinded it some. I even took out my radiator fan. i thought it was going to fit, but then i got it stuck/wedged in there. I think the easiest way IS going to be to drop the cross memeber.

what mounts are you using? with my place racing mounts, my dc 2piece 4-2-1 gsr header fits fine.
