Default Exhausts....

Hey, what kind of exhausts do you guys run and what would be an ideal system for a '91 Civic Lx Sedan w/ 1.5 SOHC? Mods are: short ram intake, adjustable cam gear, DC ceramic coated 4-2-1 headers. I'm looking for something with a mellow sports tune to it. What's your take on the Skunk2 N1 System? The one I have now is a custom but it's way too loud for the street and I don't think I have enough back pressure, it's too open. Give me some options that have worked for you guys. Should I keep the two and a quarter pipe I have or go smaller?

The Apexi WS is good, so is anything with the twin loop design IMO. For us Sedan folks, custom is the way to go and the actual muffler is up to you. Do you want something that is loud all the time, or quiet and loud when you rip it up at WOT? Hey, what color is your car, I may have seen it around town.

Almost all of the N1 Style exhaust systems are going to be loud at WOT. You might want to check out the Greddy SP2. Form what i have head it is fairly quiet at idle, but at WOT it gets pretty loud, it is resonable priced at 460+S&H

My car is goldish brown w/ a black aluminum spoiler. Usually stock steelies or 17 inch Enkei Inazuma wheels, 205/40/17 Nitto NT450.

I'll keep my eyes out - I'm in the gray sedan with 15" Slipstreams.

Thermal R&D, so nice, quiet at idle, strong sounding at redline. Full stainless. 4inch intergrated tip. What more could you ask for.

just add a glasspack or resonator to your current exhaust and save your money for something else

What about the brospeed exhaust? Junk or worth a look?

I'm hopefully picking up an EF sedan tomorrow, and am interested in a pre-fabbed catback

Custom setup with magnaflow muffler. Cheap, stainless, flows well. Doesn't look or sound like *** either.

I used to run a brospeed exhaust on my 91 Lx sedan, it sounded like a pissed off bee. Not worth it My custom exhaust that I threw together from parts laying around my buddies garage sounds a lot better, I just need to quiet it down a little. But that's just my opinion. You may like it. I'm real picky when it comes to sound and performance. I want it to sound just right.

Thanx, anything that doesn't cost a whole lot that I can install myself and performs well, I'm all for it. I save my money for the things I need that cost for quality. Like quality engine parts and internals. Like they say, " You pay for quality".

The custom exhaust I have now only cost me 50 bucks and it works okay for now, just a little too loud. I installed a Bullet inline resonator and it sounds great!

Dude, I just checked out the Thermal R&D systems. The Classic system is $492.76! That's a little more than I would like to spend on an exhaust system, but it's probably worth it. I think I may start saving. It looks pretty

i have a thermal r&d axleback with custom piping on my HB. and i'm loving it right now and still running the stock header . i picked up the thermal axleback for 90 bucks also and the custom piping was 100 with a resonator so it was a cheap deal, great performance also
