h23 into 98 accord, never done before?
i decided that i am going to put a 92 prelude h23a1 engine into my accord. i am going to swap the autotransmission in along with it, because i cant handle a manual conversion myself, and i cant pay someone to do this swap for me. my biggest question is which ECU should i use? i know my car is OBDII and the engine is OBDI, but can i use my ECU that is already in the car or should i use the one that the h23a1 comes with?
The biggest hassle I would forsee would be converting from obd2-obd1. Why don't you just boost your stock f series? The money put into swapping obd you could build your motor and it would be

The only thing I would see would be emissions, since they are more strict on newer cars it might not pass.....but then again its a honda they only fail when the engine is dying.

Why don't you just either beef up the auto trans or swap manny and go turbo with your f series?

well the thing is, i just blew the auto tranny. also, this is my daily driver and i have a seperate car (G2integra) that i want to keep for drivin stick.
im thinkin that the swap will be pretty straightforward, and once the h23 is in there and running, i will tune it.

But to answer your question, i say give me a month and i'll let you know.
cough, someone sell me a 02 4cylinder manual ecm/ecm first, cough
according to xxMaxhardcorexx aka accord guru, wiring need to be dont to the ignition so it would let you to pull the key out of the cylinder.
your year of ecu but in manual model.
