Not sure whether or not the eg final fits onto the ef diff. The best page i've found on the eg trannies is mistabone's page at http://home.cinci.rr.com/mistab0ne/tranny.html

It lists the DX/LX ratio as 4.058 so that would make it a little better than the EF DX 3.88.

I remember Catch22 and G1Teg90 doing a lot of research on the subject a while ago. They may have unearthed more info. PM them if they dont chime in on here...

Well ATS lists their 4.73 FD as only for 88-91's. Then again though they list their 4.929 FD as being able to fit all the B16A and B18 trannys. Now whether this has to do with the different 1st gear, distance collar, or needle bearing I am unsure, but my point is a JDM 4.78 FD from the ITR doesn't fit into a B16A housing with out some machine work. Hope I wasn't to confusing and probably not much help.

He's talking about d-series gears.

So am I, sort of. What I was saying is that ATS lists there D-Series as 88-91 only. I was trying to make a comparison with how they list their B-Series application guide in relevance to the D-Series. I figured I just confused everyone anyways.
