Final Drive Gears for Cable tranny's????
I have a YS1 tranny that has a 4.400 final, but i want a quicker final drive for it. Is there any aftermarket final drive gears for cable b-series tranny's?

If my memory is not mistaken, it is possible to fit a JDM 4.785 ITR final drive in a YS1 tranny. You'll need to modify the inside of the casing where the final drive ring gear lives, because the 4.785 FD ring gear is larger in diameter than a YS1's ring gear. You'll need to use a GSR diff or Type-R LSD too, since the YS1's diff will not bolt up to the 4.7 ring gear, because again of diameter size issues. Of course you'll need the full 4.785 fd kit and someone who knows who to dissasemble/reassemble Honda transmissions.

Re: Final Drive Gears for Cable tranny's???? (Katman)
Does anyone else have input and/or experiences on what Katman said. Not douting you but you seem a little unsure. I like the idea of using stock honda parts but not grinding the case.
