Newbie to this, want to make my Si less puss
whats up guys, just bought an si, and yeah the vtec doesnt kick really at all, but ive driven rsx's that have a kick like a mule. how do i get my si engine to come out and play like a good boy? how much does it usually cost per piece? I wanna check all this stuff out cuz ive got loans to pay and school, and seeing whats feasible with summer second job coming up. Also, if you do stuff, like new head, and pistons, if they are honda parts, does it void the warrenty? not that i care that much...oh yeah, has anyone put the rsx six speed in their si? is it easy? what kind of power gains am i looking at? try not to flame a relatively newbie, unless its gonna be hilarious, in which case...
there is a guy named myevolve or something like that in ephatch.com that has done the A2 head swap and tranny swap. and he has no problems with it at all. it has tru "vtec" id you wanna put it that way

I'm sure that if you dropped him a line, he'd be happy to help pick out parts.
Oh....

What's the quo warranto for that? Or at least the reason?

Besides that, how much does a type r tranny or type s tranny cost? what about head and pistons and intake manifold? do you just reflash the ecu or get a new one? dammit, why am i dumb.

My local junkyard was selling RSX type-s trannies for about $1,200 dollars for a relatively new one (about 5,000 miles on it) I wouldnt be surprised if a brand new one is a lil more

Not dumb, just not edumicated
i was in the same spot about a year ago when i first got mine, anyways you dont need to reflash when you swap the tranny. (i think... crap now I forgot) Well i've never heard anyone needing to reflash when they swap.
