Thankx for the + comments.... Well it is Toda, who's gonna bash-it....?

No Toda B's....Yet ( I can dream!!) I'm actually doing it the other way around.
See I'm at the 80,000Kms Service. Time to change the belt(the book says 100,000... but I reacon 80,000 pushing it). Track day coming-up Monday, Must get the belt changed before then..... So I try & get the best one I can. Toda Belt, may aswell get the cam gears & do it all together.

Yeah, I'll be careful alright. My Ferrari mechanic will come and look it over at half-time & before I start it. Just to make sure. Plus my friends helping, have done it before.

Toda=overpriced

the belt is a waste of money...the oe belt is just as strong and actually stretches LESS than that belt will

the cam gears are just like ANY other cam gear on the market....just way more expensive

so basically you spent too much money on stuff you don't need yet.

the cam gears won't help on a stock engine...Honda put the cams where they are for a reason...no you add cams, they'll be handy

but yeah...i guess you got bling stuff, but not something i'd ever waste my money on

or they pay too much because its from over seas and theyre race quality parts. its all about JDM. some like it and some dont. i would gladly pay for toda, spoon, mugen or anyhting thats jdm if i had the money...but i dont. but i bet eg6andslow doesnt have enough to get some of that quality...but you never kno......

I believe the parts to be expensive because they are "race inspired" and alot of the times high quality. However, the whole JDM hype and bling factor bullshit allows resellers to markup the price because they know people buy it because of the name. Function over form... alot of times that's not the case.

Toda doesn't even make those cam gears. Ever notice they are the exact same as the spoon ones, just a different marking.

However, I do hear the the toda gears on average have better indexing that most aftermarket gears, so you don't have to worry about being a degree or two off like the junk2's and AEM.

the first sentence isnt true.
there is a difference between all cam gears. if you dont think so, that just shows your ignorance.

everything is relative. im sure chevy guys think that any honda is a waste of money. if the buyer like quality parts that have a higher perceieved value, and it makes him happy having those. then more power to him.
but he could have bought other cam gears for less money. just depends upon your priorities.

and can you prove that the oem belt is better than the PE belt?
if so lets see some results. because as far as myself and everyone else, those are just your claims with backing behind it. im not saying that oem is better or pe is better. but people shouldnt make big claims without backing it up.

What are you saying Spoon makes the gears for Toda? If you want to believe that then go right ahead, but you should know Spoon doesn't really make anything it sells. If you are saying the same manufacturer builds cam gears for both Toda and Spoon, then maybe you are correct. I think that Toda builds the gears for Spoon. Just like Spoons cams, they are not made by Spoon.
