Default Draining Radiator Fluid?

I looked in the Helms manual and am having problems figuring out how to drain the radiator (ie. replace my coolant). How do I go about doing this? Do I need to remove the front bumpter to get at the value to open it up? Also, where does it come out? I would think they is a **** somewhere where I can just hook up some plastic tubing.

As I said, I looked at the Helms manual and it was unclear; so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is a plug I believe located on the bottom right side of the radiator. There should be a hole in the lower splash shield so you are able to drain the coolent. Its either on the lower right side or the inner right side towards the motor.

I do this 2x a year.... The hole's located in the splash guard on the passenger side which give you access to draining the radiator. You can also do it from up top, but it's actually easier from below. No tools required, just use your hand to loosen in.

Also, don't loosen it til the plug comes out, otherwise it will make a hell of a mess. Just undo it, and turn it like 180-270 degrees. The coolant will come out in a nice stream, not spilling on anything.
Remember to replace the block drain crush washer as well, and put Hondabond on the threas of the radiator drain before you fill it up again.

Oh, and use OEM Coolant. The other Prestone **** sux.

is necessary to flush the system? I heard people say they flush it then change the coolant.. I personally never have flushed mine, but was just wondering how they would go about flushing their cooling system.

i believe an easy way to acomplish this is to just run water through the radiator, let it drain etc.

If you want to flush you'll need to drain out of the block too and run water through it, otherwise you're not getting half the coolant out. (prestone sells a flush solution, you just add water, run the motor till its hot, drain and fill with coolant/water).

water thru the radiator wont flush the system. you will need to actually open the bolt on the engine.
