I saw an article in a major automotive publication today - just a little teaser talking about the EVO MR or something and how it has a little more power, and lighter aluminum roof, etc... supposed to be here this summer.

There was also a teaser pic of the "baby evo" - basically a 3dr hatchback awd with 250hp... the little thing looked PIMP. I have to say I will DEFINITELY get one if they start selling them in '06. Black please!

Anyone else seen this article? Can you possibly scan and/ or post up a pic?

I'm off to search for more info on this little beastie online now.....

We didn't get the sunny gtir, and we didn't get the clio sport v6, but I'm hoping this little hatch will make it here..... :crossedfingers:

EVO RS maybe? the basically EVO8 with just some missing things? I guess it's supposed to be like 3k cheaper too

As for the "2dr/3dr" evo never heard/seen..

 

hm, i heard about the evo MR, 10 more horse, different cams, different turbo?, aluminum roof...shiznit like that...but havent seen a thing about a hatch, sounds bitchin!

 

There was a little picture of the hatch in the most recent issue of Evo. It's the new Colt. There's some rumor that the future Evolution rally car will be a Colt rather than a Lancer.

 

It's EVO MR you're referring to, Ken. Mitsubishi should be switching to the hatchback chassis in the near future.

 

Lots of "interesting" cars coming to these shores (east and west coast) in the next few years!

Saw a relatively clean newish Lotus Esprit today.
Though, a Cayanne S would be interesting.

But what I'm really interested in is this colt hatchback twin with some crazy badass headlights, and the evo8 looking mitsu front end - very agressive!

ugly as ****, but i bet it'll romp on the ugly ep3.

 

I want an Evo as well. I've seen some used ones with low miles going for around 25k. Probably a lot lower a lot of Evo owners start trading in for the MR. I think the MR is my next car. I've driven a modded Evo and it is a beast.

I found the picture above to be hideous

 

I had the evo for about a year until I traded with a 04 TL and also bought a 01 gsr.
I knew I should've stick with acura. The Evo just have too many problems. Transfer case, transmission, clutch dying every 6500 miles, brakes wearing at 10k miles and the lists goes on! I had to report better business bereau about mitsu's own bad customer service and they finally fix some of my problems. But guess wutt the same problem keeps on happening every month. I hate Mitsubishi and I will never buy any cars from them anymore. Acura owns!

 

I might trade my ITR for an EVO MR when it come to US.

I love the color...not too sure about the front end....

 

MR = Mitsu Racing. Has lights wheels and different headlights. With alum. aised roof liner.

.....that wasn't the one I saw - similar, but the pic above is more of a concept imho. I've seen a driving pic, and it's BADASS.
