Default what motor should i get?

i want to do a swap in my 90 STD. dont want to change the spindles. what can i get?

guess im lookin for the most power for the price and least amt of work

If you dont want to change the spindles then your stuck with the STD tranny (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong), so then your best bet would be either a DOHC ZC, or a z6/y8, but you've got obd conversions. Best bang for buck, ZC.

dont forget the ol' a6..its non vtec, but still a pretty strong motor..has potential too

i would go with the DOHC ZC it is a strong motor and it is cheap so that is something to think about

You should get . . .

. . . a '90 STD engine and run ITC.

At least, that's what I'd do . . .

SOHC ZC. I cant stress how much i love this motor. Pulls hard and sounds crazy..

i blew up a dohc ZC in two weeks in my Si. dont like them too much. i do have a complete mpfi swap for D series. ill probably get an A6 swap for the 5 speed, and build up the motor a lil bit.

i'm doing the D16Z6 + L3 tranny OBD1 conversion in a 88 STD hatch.
