hey all. i have a jdm gsr transmission with what looks to be an aftermarket diff. it sure has a lot of bolts.... more so than my us transmission. can anyone hazard a guess which one it is?

i was thinking quaife, but to be honest, i really do not know. anybody?

It is an OEM diff, I have seen many of these in the older cable Y1 LSD trans from the JDM b16A1 setups. What it is doing in a hydro GSR tranny is anyones guess?
The JDM GSR's had an option for an LSD from the factory... could that be what it is?
Christian- who has a factory LSD in his JDM GSR tranny but has no idea what it actually looks like inside the tranny case...
PS
FWIW, the factory LSD used in the GSR tranny's was pretty ok... not as good as the ITR diff, IMO, but certainly better than nothing.

I have a OEM SiR-G tranny also with the LSD. No need to crack it open yet so I haven't seen the actual insides.

Ive seen a lot of wierd looking honda differentials.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I'm fairly certain that all the LSD's used in the B-series trannies are torsen style. I'm not familiar with Honda using viscous slips in any of them...

Thanks for the link
I ran it thru two different online translators and it refers to the LSD as a "Bis refuse cup link system LSD"...? Wonder if there's some sort of translation error there?

Only the Rs(itr/ctr/etc) come with torsen.
The rest that I have seen, and as are described on honda's website, are viscous.
