Default Cold Air Intake Question...

Hello,

I am new here an was hoping someone could tell me if the AEM V2 intake is worth buying or not? I have heard good things about it, but I have no clue what I should get as I am new to this. Some people say to go with Injen and some say AEM. Is an AEM V2 better than an Injen intake? Why or why not? Thanks in advance.

it depends what you are going for. turbo, or non turbo. if you get turbo, you will not need a cai. if you are going non turbo want basic bolt ons, this is something worth paying for. i think both aem and injen are carb certified. which ever is cheaper.

Thanks for the information guys. After a little research, I think I am going to go ahead and get an Injen cold air intake.

From what I have been hearing the V2 is not worth the extra $. I have been told from a friend that he upgraded to that and didn't feel too much of a difference. Just letting you know what I have heard.

I haven't tried one out myself though, I would stick with Injen.

i had a v2. it was hella expensive, but the gains were nice. it may be alittle better than a crap ebay one but its like 6 times as expensive. so if its worth the extra 250 for a few more ponies, than go for it. like i reccomend to all people that ask this question, get an ebay one, put a k&n filter on it, and get some NITROUS OXIDE. that would be much more fun IMHO

I would just get other preformance mods with the extra cash. Maybe put the cash away to save up for some more mods. Maybe some interior upgrades. Get that shift **** you all ways wanted, new pedals, or indiglo lights. Im not up for the NOS yet, I dont really see the benefit of it on my every day driver.
