i had a similar situation when i failed my smog check a lil while ago. Go to any GM dealership and get a bottle of their "top engine cleaner." It does work!

Spray water into your intake, don't pour it in. Get a mist bottle, spray it into your intake while you hold the rpms high. This will steam clean the inside of your engine.

A little warning to all, seafoam does work but it also has a down side that sometimes causes major damage. I have seen a lot of people poor this into there engine and then ending up paying major money for problems it caused such as bent valve and blown head gaskets.

I have never heard of problems if you do it properly as the can says, as with alot of things if you dont folow instructions problems will arise but I am curious to why these people had problems from using seafoam? Do you know what they did wrong, I would like to hear what people did to cause a problem.

Its in a bottle and just pour it in when your tank is near empty, then fill with a fresh tank of gas. Run that tank down, then refill. I didnt really notice a difference but my NoX numbers didn't lie.

Do a search on here for seaform, you should be able to find some horror stories. As far as the ones I have seen in person, the people told me they followed the directions and when they shut the car off and turned it back on the car was acting up. Turned out to be the head gasket.

i use the 9600, it works great... u can smell the crap coming out of the exhaust, and def. notice a power increase if the car is really bad to begin with.

call your local diesel truck repair facility and tell them what you are trying to do. they will have some stuffon the shelf to help you out. if you think that gas engines get gunked up, you have never seen the inside of a diesel.
