A friend has a '97 Prelude with a transmission code 0715. He replaced both pick up assemblies and according to the service manual, "the doesn't always mean there's an electrical problem in the mainshaft or countershaft speed sensor circuit; the code may also indicate a mechanical problem in the transmission" Has anyone come across this before and if so, where do you start "mechanically"?

 

Any ideas?
