Default octane booster?

hey i heard you can make your own octane booster with some kind of chemicals. does anyone know how to make them.

you have to look for one that says that it will raise you octane by number and not points because i believe that 10 points es equal to a number say if your running 87 octane and you buy something that says that it will raise 10 points youll be up to 88...

Octane boost helps your car run smooth and clean. If you get about 2 gals of racing fuel it works really well. Racing fuel will actually raise your octane close to what it is. Unlike octane boost that only raises it a little. It may clame 4-8point boost but actually it is around 1or 2. Go to a motorcycle shop or race track and get 2 gals of 110 or higher your car will run extremely well

how exactly does octane boost help your car run smooth and clean??? it prevents detonation. that is the only reason to use it

how expensive is race fuel? and yal say to mix 2 gals to a full tank and it'll be cool. Yea i want to prevent detonation thats why i'm asking. so toulene will work huh. how much...

race fuel is like 3.50-5 bucks a gallon depending where you live - i wouldnt mess with toulene

one galllon of toulene per tank of gas i believe. do a search for toulene .. theres a really big thread about it.
