ok to switch 4-1 to 4-2-1?
my f22b2 [5th gen non-vtec] has an oem 4-1 exhaust header (or so i'm told - i haven't taken off the heat shield yet).
when buying an aftermarket piece, is it necessary to stick with a 4-1 design or can i switch to a 4-2-1 design?
if i switched to a 4-2-1, would i lose or gain overall performace?

no you don't have to stick with the 4-1 and the generaly the 4-1 gives you better low end and the 4-2-1 gives you better high end so its up to your tast

you've got it backwards man. look at how race headers are constructed, and they are made for power only in the top end.
