well, thinking about upgrading to a CD player :-) but want it to look stock, so was thinking a CD player from a newer honda.. I've installed aftermarket with cutting and soldering, but i was wondering if a honda to honda stereo would be just unplug and plug to make it work?

yeah it should work, i let my boy borrow my headunit off a 98 prelude to fit in his 95 teg...

besides the acoustic research crap, it worked out perfectly....no wires, plug n play

 

depends, the radio harness changed in '99. Everything before 99 will work together, everything after 99 will work together... keep away from 97-98 deck because the factory keyless entry worked through them...

 

actually, the cut off was in 98, because I have the newer harness, whereas my friends has the older harness.

 

i have an '00 ITR head unit in my '99 cx hatch. it works.

 

if you want factory look but good performance, research 'nakamichi'. pretty good stuff.
