? on new turbo car
just got done installing my turbo kit on my car and i have a couple of questions. when i reach high rpm's (4000+) i get this loud tiking, kinda like valve tiking. did i buy a blown turbo or do i just need to get it tuned? and also when im at idle the whole car vibrates not real bad, but more then its use to. i gunna take it this weekend to get it tuned. ideas anyone? also if anybody lives in the central valley in cali where is a good place? thx

so you installed the turbo w/o knowing that.
if i were you i would get that thing tuned as soon as possibile.
what sort of engine management are you using?

You need to be pulling timing for boost or you are going to detonate in the midrange. It is likely that this "ticking" you are hearing above 4k rpm IS detonation. Seeing from your screenname that you have an SH, you are going to need to install something to do this, like an MSD BTM or a J&S UltraSafeGuard.
Since all you have is a Vortech FMU, you don't have anything to tune, other than how much timing to pull for boost. A 12:1 Vortech will hopefully supply enough fuel for boost. It will probably be too much. Hopefully, it isn't too little. The only way you would know is with a wideband.
I hope you installed an aftermarket fuel pump because there is not way the stock pump will provide enough fuel at the pressures the FMU will produce, and this could be dangerous for the motor.
You've installed colder spark plugs, right? If you haven't, you'll need to. You'll likely have detonation problems with the OEM heat range. Get NGK 3330 plugs and gap them at .028.
If you want to be able to do some real tuning on your setup, consider some real engine management. If you want to keep your ATTS, you'll need to look at the Greddy E-manage or the EFI Systems PMS. If ATTS doesn't matter to you, consider Hondata or the AEM EMS.
And for the love of god, stop boosting on the motor until you sort things out, or you are going to blow it up.
